Well, with 45 Degrees outside and 100 km Nothingness I did not feel entirely comfortable. Just 2 cars in 2 hours. Anyway it definitively felt like Australia.
Now in Kalgoorlie, the biggest open pit goldmine in the world.

Wollte einfach mal der erste im Jahr sein, der was bloggt. Alle Bilder vom Waverock. Endlich waren die Viecher mal nicht am schlafen.
Und wir haben es tatsächlich zum Sonnenuntergang auf den Gipfel geschafft.

Kokerbin Rock ist der drittgrösste Monolit in AU. Mit 42 Grad Celsius und gigantisch vielen Fliegen war an eine Besteigung nicht zu denken. War aber trotzdem sehr schön. Die ganze Gegend ist noch einsamer als Alberta es war. Jetzt noch eine Abendbesichtigung des Wave Rock gemacht. Leider etwas zu spät für den Sonnenuntergang. Hätten nicht so lange im Pool sein sollen. Lena wurde im Pool von einer Wespe gestochen. Es wimmelt hier von Schweizern, warum? Niemand sonst kommt auf die Idee, mitten im Sommer in dieser Ecke Ferien zu machen.
Der ganze Hyden Rock Fels ist super, nicht der Wave Rock selber. Ist 2.7 Mia Jahre alt.

Now I finally know. 42 was not selected arbitrarily. 42 degrees is the limit with which brain functions have to be kept at a minimum and great insights become possible. Answer and question do both exits together but only volatile, like quantum entanglement, but back in climatised rooms it’s gone.
Today we had to say goodby to my parents and of course everybody was sad. We hope they have a good flight.
Greetings and much thanks to all giver of presents. The kids were surprised on how much presents found their way to australia.
So far we have sent two parcels 8 and 9 kilos back home and just gave 7 kilos to my poor parents (panicking because of weight limit). Yet we have more lugagge than we started with. A miracle.
The Tilley Hat (insured) is the one thing I am loosing. But only when there is a chance of getting it back. In Rarotonga I lost it in the bus and could get it back 7 days later. In Perth I lost it in our first hotel, now I got it back..
Insured? You bet
Now we are on the road again with a rental car (pic above background). Australia SW of WA, next is Wave Rocks.
Noch etwas verspätete Weihnachtsgrüsse aus dem 40 Grad heissen Perth.
Dieser Brunnen war definitiv Adas highlight in Perth. Er ändert alle paar Sekunden, welche seiner 24 Seiten eingeschaltet sind. Da musste auch fast mein Handy dran glauben, als ich einen Video aufnehmen wollte.

Wir sind wohl wirklich in Australien angelangt.
Sind in Perth Scarborough angekommen. Einmal über die Strasse und wir sind an der Beach. Wasser ist wärmer als Sydney. Für Ada sind die Wellen sehr gross, sie liebt es trotzdem.
