Made the famous Aitutaki Lagoon Cruise. They feed a giant trevally at a beautiful snorkeling spot, about 100 cm. That’s when Asdrid got bitten. Looked pretty bad. No hospitalisation necessary but hurts a lot and no swimming for some days. As also the captains daughter got her hair pulled the is why the
fish might gonna end as BBQ now.

We are renting scooters. There is very little traffic and speed limit is 40 km/h.
Also made some nice south sea pics but only with the big camera.

Nur per Air Raro Lokalflug zu erreichen.
War mal anders. In den 50er sind hier grosse Wasserflugzeuge gelandet.
Hat eine der schönsten Lagunen der Südsee.

Now planning a trip to the outer islands. Already thinking we should have planned for four weeks, 3 seem not enough.

Finally arrived at the other side of the globe. Probably all post will be the same for the next 18 days.

Nach viel Stress und warten wurden wir schliesslich LA – Auckland – Raratonga gebucht. 1/4 um die Erde alleine bis Auckland und jetzt dann gleich weiter zu den Cook Islands

Sofern dann alles klappt, halten sich sogar die Kosten in Grenzen. Anstelle von 4300$ was der Spass kosten wuerde, waren sie mit 200$ zufrieden. Kommen aber die Kosten fuer das Hotel noch dazu, aber unter dem Strich mit einem blauen Auge davongekommen. Sind alle muede aber Stimmung steigt.

Internet hier am Flughafen ist sau teuer, und was ist noch der Iso-Code fuer Umlaute?

Ada hat gerade gelernt die Schuhe zu binden. Unendlich lange Wartezeiten müssen genutzt werden.

Air New Zealand took us out of the plain to Cook Islands because we did not have a flight out of Auckland. I checked everywhere. This requirement is not mentioned anywhere. Cook Island gov clearly say just onward travel is needed. There is much more to the story where they failed. Lets see how this ends. Will probably lose quite some money. We are very angry but all right. Finally got ourselves a hotel at 02:00 local (05:00 Montréal). No booked a fully refundable flight Auckland-Sidney Quantas for just 1300 CHF. Any such reqirement is useless.
